Job Overview:

Summary: Reporting to the Director of Quality, the SQF Practitioner has the responsibility and authority for the development, implementation, review, maintenance, and integrity of the SQF Food Safety and Food Quality Management System. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals, Food Safety Plan, and Food Quality Plan.
  • Coordinate and drive the Internal Audit Program, along with providing training for all team members as needed.
  • Oversee the company’s employee training program, along with upper management, to ensure that all employees’ training requirements are completed and current.
  • Participate in on going activities that impact food safety and or food quality. 
  • Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality and continuous improvement as outlined in the Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • HACCP and PCQI certified
  • Course in statistical process control (SPC)
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Time management
  • Communication skills
  • Experience in food safety audits a plus
