Fontanini, located in McCook, IL just outside of Chicago, is seeking Machine Operators on both 1st and 2nd shift operations.  The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

Position Summary:  Machine Operators are responsible for tear down, setup, and operating equipment in an efficient and safe manner.

Pay: $22.50 per hour.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain an acceptable standard of output and quality from assigned equipment.
• Verify correct product and packaging specifications for each production run.
• Assist in other areas when needed to keep line running efficiently.
• Communicate with line personnel on a regular basis to maintain line efficiency.
• Trouble shoot and discover problem areas quickly and make minor adjustments to equipment

to maintain efficiency and quality.

• Log equipment downtime and assist in line changeovers.
• Observe and report any major equipment issues to supervisor.
• Follow people safety rules, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices.
• Assist in all other duties assigned by supervisor and/or management.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferably food manufacturing.
• Understanding of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Ability to read labels requirements.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job per job workstations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
