$17.45 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential

Job Summary

The Floor Person is responsible for supporting daily poultry processing operations by maintaining product flow, ensuring work areas remain clean and organized, supplying materials to production lines, and assisting team members as needed. This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, food safety, quality standards, and workplace safety throughout the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain product flow throughout the assigned production area.
  • Remove product buildup, waste materials, and debris from workstations and processing areas.
  • Supply production lines with necessary materials, containers, and equipment.
  • Assist machine operators and production team members to ensure continuous operations.
  • Move products, ingredients, racks, totes, and other materials within the department.
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all Tyson Foods food safety, quality assurance, and USDA regulations.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, product concerns, and safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Comply with all plant safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with additional production-related tasks as assigned by management.
