Job Overview:
JOB TITLE: Assembler
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
JOB TYPE: Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Flovent - 515
REPORTS TO: Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Assembler will be performing light assembly work with plastic and sheet metal parts.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Assemble items as instructed by supervisor/manager.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures.
- Perform job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels.
- Adhere to standardized work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while taking care of all equipment and facilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Has rudimentary mechanical ability and understanding.
- Experience with using small hand tools .
- Ability to use screw guns, air tools, pop-riveter, belt sanders, a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production environment under tight time constraints.
- Must possess an understanding of production procedures.
- High level of attention to detail
- Must have excellent time management skills and work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand continuously for long periods of time.
- Prolonged periods of pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying materials
