Role Overview
This hands-on role provides direct support to Blue Origin’s fleet maintenance and operations team. The Fleet Support Technician helps keep vehicles, equipment, and the shop in safe, ready-to-work condition. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and willing to jump in wherever needed — from operating a forklift to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move parts, materials, vehicles, and equipment throughout the shop and yard.
- Support fleet mechanics and technicians by staging parts, retrieving tools, and assisting with vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including sweeping, removing debris, and properly disposing of waste and recyclables.
- Receive, unload, stock, and organize parts, supplies, and materials.
- Perform basic vehicle and equipment checks such as fluid levels, tire pressure, and visual inspections.
- Assist with moving and positioning vehicles, trailers, and equipment within the facility.
- Maintain shop equipment and tools; report damaged or malfunctioning items to supervisors.
- Support inventory counts and help track parts and consumables.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support fleet, shop, and site operations.

- 1 position – 2nd Shift
- 1 position – 3rd Shift
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Work is performed in shop, warehouse, and outdoor yard environments with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and fumes.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification required upon hire).
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts (certification required upon hire).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks, including general cleanup and labor.
- Strong reliability, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR compliance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current forklift operator certification.
- Prior experience in a fleet, automotive, warehouse, or maintenance shop environment.
