Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our dynamic team in the aerospace industry at our Shelby Township, MI facility. As a Fitter/Welder, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of aerospace components, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of parts.
- Perform fitting and welding tasks on various materials, including aluminum and stainless steel.
- Utilize welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to create strong, durable joints.
- Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in aerospace welding techniques.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or fabrication preferred.
- Proven experience as a Fitter/Welder, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials used in aerospace applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
