How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Financial Reporting Systems Staff Analyst will support the administrative function for  Trintech Cadency (“Cadency”), SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP ECC6 with regards to opening and closing periods and modules, and the design and maintenance of Power BI reports. Cadency modules employed at Airgas include: Certification, Close, Compliance, Match, and Journal Entry, touching a wide range of tasks across multiple divisions and business units of Airgas. BPC software is utilized to complete the monthly close, consolidation and generation of internal and statutory financial statements. It is also utilized by FPA to create the annual budget and subsequent forecasts. In addition to the system administration responsibilities, The Financial Reporting Systems Staff Analyst helps to provide reporting solutions for Microsoft Power BI (and to a lesser extent Microsoft Power Query,  Microsoft Access) as well as technical support related to Cadency & BPC. The Financial Reporting Systems Staff Analyst is expected to develop a working understanding of these tools, and begin to demonstrate critical thinking / problem solving skills. Additionally, the Financial Reporting Systems Staff Analyst will contribute to other financial accounting systems and other projects as directed.

In particular, you will: 

  • Support the administration of Cadency, becoming a subject matter expert to help assist future enhancements post-go live.
  • Help create, maintain, and automate new reports and dashboards in Power BI for both end-user and management consumption.
  • Support the administration of BPC, becoming a subject matter expert to help assist with monthly close tasks, master data changes, and ad hoc requests.
  • Contribute to a center of excellence level of support for Cadency and BPC, working with division accounting teams and providing support to end users. 
  • Support system upgrades, new releases, and/or new implementations.
  • Encourage best practices, drive continuous improvement, and identify new use cases or enhancements to unlock further potential value in the systems employed.
  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance of Cadency and BPC.
  • Contribute to issue resolution with reporting tools such as Power BI and Power Query.
  • Provide technical and process support for Cadency enhancements and BPC changes by helping to set up the master data in the platforms, training to users, assisting the Admin team in coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth functionality of the tools.
  • Help ensure resolution of Cadency, BPC, Power BI, or other reporting requests and incidents in an effective and timely manner,escalating to internal IT and vendor support when warranted.
  • Contribute to recurring system maintenance (daily to yearly scheduled activities) and escalating issues encountered to the appropriate technical support structure.
  • Support the creation and publication of Power BI operational metrics and analysis for the finance community.



  • Understanding of foreign exchange accounting is a plus.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS is a plus.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Able to operate at a detailed level without losing sight of the big picture. 
  • Action oriented; thrives in a dynamic environment; willing to take the initiative when the opportunity presents itself.
  • Analytical thinker
  • Flexible/team player; comfortable changing directions mid-stream
  • Microsoft reporting skills (e.g. Power BI, Power Query, and Microsoft Access) is a plus 
  • Google Suite platform experience is a plus.

Are you a MATCH? 

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  • High level of ownership mindset.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus
