N/AJOB OVERVIEW:
Seeking a self-directed Finance Data & Insights intern with strong analytical, data visualization, and problem-solving skills to support Finance reporting, data quality, and business insights. The BDG Summer Internship Program is project-based, and this role will help organize finance data, support reporting automation, document processes, and prepare simple insights to support decision-making. This is a full-time position, and the program runs for 10-12 weeks (June-September).RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support the Finance Data & Insights team with data organization, reporting, dashboarding, and process documentation.
Assist with validating and organizing Finance-related data, including cost centers, profit centers, accounts, products, customers, and reporting hierarchies.
Help build, update, or improve reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SAP data, or similar tools.
Analyze finance and business data to support insights related to performance vs. AOP/forecast, margins, cost drivers, working capital, and scenario planning.
Document reporting processes, identify opportunities to reduce manual Excel work, and support scalable, repeatable reporting practices.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled college/university (sophomore, junior or senior) student working toward a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
Must be available for program duration, or a minimum of 10 weeks (June - September).
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Foundational interest in Finance, FP&A, business analytics, reporting automation, or data-driven decision support.
Experience or coursework in finance, accounting, data analysis, business intelligence, statistics, or process improvement.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, SAP, SQL, Python, or other analytics/reporting tools is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize information, validate data, and summarize insights clearly.
Interest in building a career in Finance, FP&A, Finance Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related business functions.
