**JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

**

The Field Technician Manager leads and performs skilled facilities maintenance work at A-Prime’s client sites within the New England region. This role will act as the manager of a team of specialized technicians as well as the expert in multiple technical trades covered by A-Prime. The Lead will perform these tasks while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with other departments, partnering most closely with the client service department. Trades covered by A-Prime include all commercial doors, balers & compactors, forklifts, vertical transportation, conveyors, and dock equipment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:

**

Serve as the day-to-day subject matter expert on routine repairs and preventative maintenance
Coordinate and schedule field operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects
Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide oversight of tech repairs, including quality and completion checks
Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs
Track and manage the use of materials and resources efficiently
Perform proactive and reactive maintenance and repair tasks
Provide excellent customer service to facility staff and address their maintenance needs promptly
Communicate effectively with staff and other departments regarding maintenance schedules and activities
Engage in ongoing professional development/training and maintain role-specific certifications
Assist with departmental projects, as needed, to support and promote the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan

Strong knowledge of retail facilities and associated equipment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment, as well as work order management systems and technology

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly
Ability to handle frequent bending, climbing, and reaching
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Manual dexterity and ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment
