• Reading and interpreting maps, plats, blueprints, and site plans
• Survey software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, Trimble Business Center, MicroStation)
• Coordinate geometry (COGO)
• Construction staking and layout
• Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
• Quality control and accurate documentation
