Job Overview:

Field Service Technician – Metrology

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

Location must be in Missouri

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a variety of routine support, calibration, and repair activities in the field service function on metrology equipment. Responsible for performing periodic maintenance activities, basic troubleshooting, and mechanical and electronic repair, part replacement, and calibration. Assesses and responds to situations using standard procedures in isolation and fixes problem machines. Reports on design, reliability, maintenance, and calibration results through field service management software.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up Test and Measure equipment at customer locations.-eliminate

Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of metrology machines either in the service center or on location at a customer site. 

Calibration of existing inspection equipment.

Complete Calibration certificates.

Ensure all training and certifications required for the position are maintained in an up to date and timely fashion.

CORE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Associate's degree or equivalent college or technical school; 2 years relevant experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

0 – 2 years of prior experience in a similar/related field.

Self- leadership, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet all deadlines

Exhibit a high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.

Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using wise judgment that is consistent. 

Ability to communicate effectively with customers

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Ability to travel as needed for the role, estimated at 50-75%




MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


Ability to be on your feet while performing job requirements

Ability to sit for periods depending on the job requirements. 

Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding.

Ability to view a computer for periods. 

Ability to exert up to 10-20 pounds occasionally. 

Ability to balance, reach, and grasp as needed for the job.

Ability to crouch, grasp, and lift products above the shoulders to lift boxes and products from the floor properly. 


WORK SCHEDULE


This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week. 

This position is located at customer locations, and/or in the office, not remote or hybrid. 

This position is non-exempt.
