Job Overview:

Do you have strong analytical and communication skills, like to work in collaborative environment, and have a background in the US Department of Defense, US Military or Aerospace & Defense industry? We may have the perfect opportunity for you! As a Field Service Technician V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will use your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.

The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Must-haves:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
  • Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques
  • Advanced electrical wiring skills
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
  • Hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications, and personal computers
  • Communication and customer interface skills
  • Thorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and current full-scope polygraph U.S. Security Clearance is required​

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
  • Experience with RF, vehicle installation, and maintenance procedures
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
  • Experience with Python and Linux Environments
