JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of industrial packaging equipment and machinery at customer manufacturing and distribution facilities. We service a wide range of manufacturing sectors - the largest customer base is food/beverage manufacturers.

This job is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on, problem solving responsibilities. This is NOT for those who prefer to spend their time at a desk. This job requires technicians who are self-driven, who welcome problem solving opportunities, and who are responsive to customers' needs. Being able to work with people is a must, along with organizational skills and the ability to think on their feet.

Overnight travel is required (50%) and it can vary greatly from time to time. Some projects/assignments may require air travel and multiple days on site. Regional travel is required. Most of the work will take place at customer manufacturing facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary function is to install, diagnose, audit, service, and repair industrial labeling machinery and packaging equipment in industrial manufacturing facilities.
Conduct training on equipment, its capabilities and operation to the customer; responds to all questions in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
Accurately completes all necessary paperwork including but not limited to work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
Safely operates assigned company vehicle and ensures that it is maintained according to manufacturer’s specifications.
When on call, ensures availability by telephone or pager contact at all times for service calls.
Self-schedule projects and service calls
Assist sales team on various sales projects and demonstrations; Promote service contracts and additional technical services
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong technical knowledge on mechanical and electrical systems
PLC Programming encouraged
Experience in Mechatronics
Skilled machinery trouble-shooting and root-cause-analysis
2+ Years Technical and/or Manufacturing experience
Ability to travel (over-night when required)
Valid drivers license
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional appearance and demeanor
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Military experience welcomed
