Demonstrate an aptitude for Networking and/or Cybersecurity
Provide technical support on specialized telecommunications systems and public safety product applications.
Maintain and document complex communications systems.
Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues.
Continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
Preferred Candidate Knowledge/Experience:
Actively pursuing a certification in Security+, Network+, CCNA, or NRS1
Knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN)
Computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
R.F. interfaces and systems such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
Standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques.
Logging recording systems
During the Co-Op Program you will gain system experience with the following equipment:
Motorola Base Stations (STR series, GTR series, Quantar, etc.)
Consoles (Gold Elite, MCC7500, MCC7100)
Computer IP Networks and Configuration
Experience working with RF Infrastructure Technologies to include Motorola SmartZone, Smartnet, Console Systems, ASTRO Conventional and Trunked equipment is strongly preferred
The Co-Op will gain technical skills in the use of various communications test equipment including:
Communication System Analyzers
Ethernet Link test sets
Digital RF Power Meter
Motorola Conventional, SmartNet and MCC Console systems, Secure Operations and ASTRO A7.x - A20.x, Digital systems and installation procedures.

You will gain hands-on experience with a variety of equipment and technologies, allowing you to develop valuable skills and knowledge. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
