Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Rockford, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment in a manufacturing environment. If you are passionate about problem-solving and have a knack for working with electrical and mechanical systems, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer facilities for implementation of the safeguarding equipment for length of project.

  • Identify and deactivate active power sources and install electrical controls, switches and machine guarding.

  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

  • Plan, implement and execute turnkey safety integration projects.

  • Conduct thorough electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment failures.

  • Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients and team members.

  • Ensure accuracy of all installation items required for projects by conducting quality control checks upon completion of installation project.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License is a must.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting and wiring experience.
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
