Direct Hire | Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer / Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys troubleshooting, travel, customer interaction, and working with advanced equipment in a specialized industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting company equipment at customer facilities while delivering exceptional customer service. We are willing to train the right individual who possesses strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a positive attitude, and a team-first mentality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and validate equipment at customer facilities.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
  • Provide technical support remotely and on-site.
  • Create detailed service reports and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams to resolve technical concerns.
  • Train customers and end users on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Assist with workstation assembly and equipment preparation.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional service and communication.
  • Support additional team needs and projects as required.

The successful candidate will ensure company equipment is installed correctly, maintained efficiently, and operating at peak performance. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through responsive technical support, troubleshooting, and service excellence.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting abilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret:- Electrical schematics

    • Electronic diagrams
    • Mechanical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and command of the English language.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional demeanor.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

  • Willingness to take on responsibilities outside of a traditional job description to support team success.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Preferred

  • Previous field service, maintenance, manufacturing, automation, controls, or technical support experience.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment, machinery, or automated systems.

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 25% travel.

  • Travel may vary significantly depending on customer needs.

  • Some months may involve little to no travel, while others may require travel on a weekly basis.

  • Travel destinations may include:- United States

    • Canada
    • Mexico
    • Italy (training opportunities)
  • Company-paid travel expenses including:- Hotels

    • Flights
    • Rental cars
    • Daily per diem
  • Company credit card provided for approved travel expenses.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable driving 5-6 hours when required.
  • Ability to fly and travel to customer locations.
  • Comfortable being on the road for 4-5 consecutive days as needed.
  • This is not an overly physical position but does require mobility and travel flexibility.
