Work Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
- Occasional Saturdays as needed
- Option for a four-day workweek (10-hour days) based on field production needs
- Weekend work may be required
Position Overview:
We partner with a local electric utility to provide energy-saving services to customers in targeted neighborhoods. Field Service Technicians install energy-efficient products in residential homes to help reduce electricity usage and determine eligibility for additional no-cost services. Contracts may be extended up to 24 months.
Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):
- Install energy-efficient products such as LED bulbs, water-saving aerators and showerheads, water heater insulation, pipe insulation, and weatherstripping
- Educate customers on reducing energy consumption and costs
- Accurately document installations and report quality metrics
- Communicate with Field Supervisors regarding performance and issues
- Identify and report safety concerns
- Safely operate company vehicles (trucks/box vans)
- Participate in neighborhood kickoff events
- Travel extensively (90–100%) throughout South Carolina (vehicle provided during travel)
Qualifications:
- Experience in sales, customer service, HVAC, construction, energy efficiency, or related field preferred
- Ability to work independently or with a partner
- Willingness to travel overnight during the work week
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
- Safety-focused mindset
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
