About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Mechanic A to join a growing equipment rental operation. This is a senior-level, field-based role where you will serve as a technical expert, traveling to customer job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment.

This position is ideal for a mechanic who thrives working independently, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to customer job sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and propane systems

  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment at long-term job sites

  • Conduct services including:- Oil changes and lubrication

    • Tire and battery replacements
    • Hose repairs and component replacements
  • Identify equipment issues proactively and prevent future breakdowns

  • Recondition and replace parts to ensure equipment is safe and fully operational

  • Educate customers on proper equipment use and maintenance

  • Complete detailed service reports and work orders in a timely manner

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on job sites

  • Follow all safety procedures and company protocols

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Serve as a go-to technical resource for complex service issues

Equipment You’ll Work On

  • Aerial equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts)
  • Forklifts and earthmoving equipment
  • Generators and compressors
  • Pumps and other industrial equipment

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, construction equipment, or similar
  • Strong diagnostic skills across hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must own a sufficient set of tools to perform repairs
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to be on-call as needed
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
