Job Purpose/Authority Statement
The Job Title listed empowers the Incumbent with the authority to execute all duties and responsibility listed below. In the event of a conflict of authority, the Incumbent shall elevate to direct supervisor for resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and orderly work space.
- Maintain and organize fully operation service vehicle.
- Turn in job expenses weekly or bi-weekly fashion for job costing purposes and have company related credit cards paid in a timely fashion and without penalty fees.
- Keep, properly maintain, and turn in calibration equipment at required intervals.
- Learn how to maintain high level of focus on customer satisfaction.
- Assist with installs and services those who extensive knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, controllers, hydraulics, calibrators, pneumatics. Provides telephone technical assistance as required.
- Travels throughout North America and Worldwide when required.
- Assist with training sessions at Service Seminars or at customer facilities.
- Interacts with engineering and manufacturing Dept regarding in-house and field equipment failures.
- Documents field trips and properly records paperwork.
- Capable of reading and understanding test reports and prioritizing workloads. Must be capable of driving a forklift. Knowledge of electrical safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out, and EPA refrigeration certification.
- Train to have a working knowledge of CRM database and Visual Manufacturing to review and enter data.
- Train to have a working knowledge of computer systems, e.g. Industrial Engineering drives, latest version of Windows OS, MS Outlook, and Word, Excel.
- Train how to operate vacuum pumps, PID controls, and work with low voltages.
Qualifications
- Employee must be able to perform simple math functions
- Have the ability to accurately use measuring instruments
- Be willing to provide basic tools required for the position
- Be willing to train as required and possess the ability to understand shop pick lists and travel related to job and accurately report time to job assignments.
- Must be capable of reading and understanding SOP’s and FDA/GMP’s and willing to work in an office environment or travel up to 2 weeks per month as required.
- High School Diploma/GED or comparable experience required.
- Must be able to follow direction
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Work cohesively with others, and learn to communicate effectively with customers.
- Training expected to last up to two years.
Working Conditions
Mostly standing work. Frequently lifting up to 25 lbs, occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs. (Lifting more than 50 lbs overhead must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift.) Detailed work with hands; fine work, simple grasping and pushing and pulling. Position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, crawling, reaching, and twisting with occasional kneeling. Significant portions of travel time may involve extended sedentary periods. Subject to weather and adverse driving conditions when outside. As needed, will work at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear.
