The Safety Lead is responsible for upholding our safety culture and continuing to help grow that culture throughout the company. The Safety Lead will also provide verification, coaching and accountability as it relates to upholding the polies, procedures, and values of our safety program. The duties of this job require a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of Safety and OSHA requirements. Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results that meet these established criteria are necessary for successful job performance. The focus of communication and organizational relationships is based on technical expertise. Working within approved organizational systems and technology, and the demonstration of the values of integrity, quality, and caution. The position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who engenders trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency, and assures consistent achievement of Safety standards. The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly.

Safety Lead Job Responsibilities:

• conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.

• Audits and maintains comprehensive safety & health programs at all job sites.

• Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirms job site fulfills customer requirements, industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

• Assist/Coach field personnel and Project Managers in thinking through the job safety analysis process.

• Capable of identifying and correcting unsafe actions with confidence.

• Provides technical support to project managers.

• Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, and investigation.

• Performing accident investigations, issuing complete root cause analysis, and reporting.

• Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.

• Guarantees that all work is performed safely in accordance with OSHA requirements.

• Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years’ construction safety experience.

• OSHA 30 Certified (OSHA 500 preferred).

• Knowledge of OSHA record keeping and standards – 1910 General Industry and 1926 Construction.

• Capable of assisting/coaching field personnel and Project Managers in thinking through the job safety analysis process.

• Should possess good people skills and exhibit safety leadership.

• Good customer relations skills

• Ensure safe work practices with all installation methods.
