Overview
Pike Systems is looking for an experienced, self-directed field technician who can diagnose and repair commercial equipment in the field. This is not an entry-level technician position.
Our technicians troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic systems on commercial floor-care equipment, including automatic scrubbers, extractors, vacuums and robotic cleaning equipment. You'll work primarily at customer facilities throughout Northern Illinois, diagnosing equipment failures, identifying needed parts, completing repairs and communicating directly with customers.
We're looking for someone who has already developed strong diagnostic skills working on equipment such as forklifts, material-handling equipment, automotive systems, small engines, HVAC, industrial equipment, commercial appliances, powered equipment or similar electrical/mechanical systems.
You do not need previous floor-care equipment experience. We can teach the equipment. We need you to bring the mechanical/electrical aptitude, troubleshooting ability and experience working independently.
