Job Overview:

Field Project Manager - T-Line and Substation

PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for a Field Project Manager to join our Building & Construction team in our Rockies/ Mountains West Region.  This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

What you’ll do:

  • Performs supervision of civil inspection; no materials testing needed
  • Leads multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations
  • Develops and implements a project execution plan for the technical aspects of projects
  • Assigns project tasks and provides technical guidance to project team of technical inspectors
  • Monitor project budget and initiate change orders
  • Review, Prepare and Submit invoices
  • Perform project close out duties
  • Conducts/Attends project meetings
  • Reviews and submits inspection reports

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • 5 years’ experience in Substation, T-lines or Civil Inspection is required
  • 10 years' experience is preferred
  • Supervisory and Project Management experience is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record is required
  • Must have ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade 1 AND FHWA Drilled Shaft Inspector certifications or ability to pass within 1 month (assistance with obtaining certification is provided)
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required
  • External (or task related) certifications based on region and state preferred
  • Ability to lead and supervise others
  • Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
  • Project is at remote location; significant travel is required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
  • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and traverse difficult terrain
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
  • Ability to work over night hours and off shift
