Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple field teams supporting commercial construction projects across various locations.
This position is responsible for supporting multiple active projects rather than being assigned to one individual jobsite. The Field Operations Manager will regularly visit project locations, communicate with field and project leadership, monitor safety, quality, productivity, and staffing needs, and assist with resolving operational and customer-related challenges.

Field Operations Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership and operational support across multiple field teams and active projects.Maintain regular communication with field leadership regarding project status, staffing, schedules, safety, quality, productivity, and operational needs.
Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor project execution and support field teams.
Assist with workforce planning and allocation based on project schedules, priorities, skill requirements, and business needs.
Help resolve field-related challenges involving scheduling, logistics, staffing, project execution, and customer expectations.
Promote accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and consistent performance across field operations.
Project Communication & Coordination
Serve as a key communication link between field personnel, project teams, customers, and operational leadership.
Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure schedules, priorities, project requirements, and changes are communicated effectively.
Communicate professionally with customer representatives and jobsite leadership as needed.Identify and escalate significant field issues, schedule impacts, customer concerns, and resource needs.
Participate in project meetings, operational updates, and planning discussions.Help maintain effective communication between office and field personnel.
Safety & Quality
Promote and reinforce established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
Conduct safety observations, field inspections, and jobsite reviews.Ensure field employees understand and follow applicable safety requirements.
Assist with addressing incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns.
Monitor field work to ensure projects meet established plans, specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.Identify quality concerns and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.Promote strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
Team Development & Performance
Coach, mentor, and develop field employees and frontline leaders.
Support onboarding and training of new team members.Identify employees with potential for additional technical or leadership responsibilities.
Assist with developing consistent field training practices and expectations.
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development recommendations.
Reinforce expectations related to safety, quality, productivity, attendance, communication, professionalism, and customer service.
Provide input regarding employee development, advancement, staffing, and workforce needs.
Operational Planning
Partner with project and operational teams on staffing, scheduling, travel, and resource requirements.
Provide field-level input regarding project logistics, sequencing, execution methods, and workforce needs.
Support project startup, mobilization, execution, and closeout activities.Identify opportunities to improve field productivity, workforce utilization, communication, and operational efficiency.
Help ensure appropriate field coverage as project demands and priorities change.
Documentation & Reporting
Review field reports, project documentation, photos, and other operational records as needed.
Ensure required field documentation is completed accurately and consistently.Monitor compliance with established reporting requirements.
Provide field observations, project updates, and operational recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous leadership experience within commercial construction, field operations, specialty contracting, or a related environment.
Experience overseeing multiple field teams, projects, or jobsites simultaneously.Strong knowledge of construction field operations, safety, quality, scheduling, and workforce management.
Demonstrated experience coaching and developing field employees and frontline leaders.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage changing project priorities and operational demands.
Professional communication skills when working with customers, field personnel, project teams, and leadership.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams.
Travel & Schedule Expectations
Regular travel to active project locations throughout the United States is required.
Must be comfortable supporting multiple projects and geographic locations.
Flexibility may be required to support evening, overnight, weekend, or extended-hour project needs.
Must be available to respond to time-sensitive field issues when appropriate.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
