Position Title: Generator Technician

Job Summary
We service all brands of emergency standby generators, critical power equipment and other related accessories. The normal working shift is 7AM to 4PM at the branch. However, the opportunity for overtime is not uncommon, especially with on-site work. Regular field work is required with travel to various client or project locations; occasional overnight stays may be required. A candidate should be willing and able to travel and work overtime as needed. We are looking for candidates who have some degree of prior experience with generator sets, diesel & gaseous engines, and industrial / commercial electrical distribution.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on all makes and models of generators and construction equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance on power generation and construction equipment including gas and diesel engines
Testing and troubleshooting various sized generators and construction equipment
Work with Parts Department, Service Advisor, Service Manager and other technicians to ensure timely job completion
Ensure all maintenance/repairs are documented in compliance with OEM warranties and procedures
Maintain a safe working environment
Work with Service Advisor to ensure customer needs are met and overall customer satisfaction is achieved

Qualifications
3+ years of experience working with diesel engines
Power generation and construction equipment experience preferred
3+ years Exp. Generator Maintenance preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduation from a Technical School preferred
AAS Electrical Power Generator Tech a big Plus
Military Experience is a Plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
WORK CONDITIONS
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
