**Mobile Forklift & Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Yuma, AZ **

About the Role:

Naumann Hobbs Material Handling is looking for an experienced Mobile Forklift and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Yuma team. You’ll take a company service truck to customer sites across the Yuma area to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts, material handling equipment, and heavy equipment. You’ll bring your own hand tools, and specialty and diagnostic tools are available at our Yuma location when a job calls for them. If you’re a self-starter who likes variety, solving problems on your own, and getting customers back up and running, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Travel to customer locations to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on forklifts (electric, LP, gas, and diesel) and heavy equipment units
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, and drivetrains
• Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic software
• Perform scheduled PM services and inspections, identifying issues before they become breakdowns
• Communicate clearly with customers about repairs, recommendations, and timelines
• Accurately complete work orders, time entries, and parts requests
• Maintain your service truck, tools, and inventory in clean, organized, safe condition
• Follow all company and customer site safety procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment, forklift, or diesel mechanic- Prior field service experience a strong plus!

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - REQUIRED

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Solid skills in hydraulic, electrical, and engine diagnostics

• Must supply your own professional-grade hand tools; specialty and diagnostic tools are available for the team to utilize

• Ability to work outdoors in Yuma’s climate

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces, on ladders, and under equipment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with repairs on Toyota, Hyster, Yale, CAT, Doosan, etc.
• ASE, EMI, or manufacturer certifications
• Experience with diagnostic laptops/software
