**Fiber Optic Lead Technician **

$45–$50/HR + $150 Daily Per Diem + Overtime

Full-Time | Long-Term Data Center Project

PRT Staffing is hiring licensed New Mexico Fiber Optic Leads and Journeyman Electricians for a long-term data center project in Santa Teresa, NM. You must have an active ES-3J or EE-98J certificate to apply.

Pay & Benefits

• $45–$50/hr, depending on experience
• $150 per diem for each day worked
• Overtime available
• Long-term, full-time project

What You'll Do

• Lead and support fiber optic and copper cabling installation
• Splice, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling
• Install racks, cabinets, patch panels, and low-voltage connections
• Read drawings, cable schedules, and rack elevations
• Keep test results, daily reports, redlines, and as-builts up to date

Requirements

• Active New Mexico ES-3J or EE-98J certificate in good standing
• Hands-on fiber/copper installation, splicing, terminating, or testing experience

- 3+ years of fiber optic experience

Leadership or crew supervision experience preferred

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Able to work assigned shifts and support rotations
• Must pass background check, drug test, and site onboarding

Preferred

• Lead or foreman experience
• Data center or mission-critical experience
• Ribbon fiber, mass-fusion splicing, OTDR, and optical-loss testing
• OSHA 10
• AFL, Legrand, Corning, A+, or Network+ certifications
• Your own basic tools and PPE
