Description

 

The FFS Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Form-Fill-Seal machinery used in the making of FFS printed rolls. This role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality FFS Rolls according to production schedules and quality standards.

 

This position will train in Rockwall, TX. and move to Greenville, TX. (new SPR facility in 2026)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor FFS machines to produce spec conforming rolls efficiently.
  • Set up and change, press sleeves, plates, change Dr. blade assembly, side seals, anilox rollers etc.
  • Perform routine Machine and Press adjustments and minor maintenance (TPM) to ensure optimal performance. This includes screen changes, cleaning die and pancakes and cleaning ink presses.
  • Maintain proper ink colors and levels on press and dispose of inks and solvers according to process.
  • Inspect all finished products (Rolls) for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance or Production Manager.
  • Maintain accurate Quality and Production records, including Job numbers, quantities, and downtime.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized line top to bottom as well as work area (6S).
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to meet daily targets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs (Kaizens).

 

 

Qualifications


 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; mechanically inclined is a plus.
  • Previous experience operating FFS (with press) or similar packaging machinery preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and production schedules.
  • Must be totally engaged with Safety and Safety programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate machinery and inspect products.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Able to read a tape measure.
  • Able to work on a non-climate control environment.
