We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, hardworking people to join Alcon! As a Mechanic II supporting our manufacturing site, you will be trusted to work with performing a variety of duties to help maintain the facility at Sinking Springs, PA.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Performing repairs and maintenance on critical equipment such as Cleanroom-rated HVAC equipment, Oil-free Air Compressors, & Purified Water Systems

• Conducting inspections to settle if repair and maintenance work is vital to prevent breakdowns of facilities equipment

• Reading engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and specifications

• Performing a combination of routine maintenance tasks and unscheduled repairs

• Using a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and bench-top tools to perform job duties

• Completing light fabrication work

• Monitoring of critical systems

• Presenting observations and equipment status to team members and management

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

• Work Hours: 2nd Shift: 3 PM EST – 11 PM EST

• 2 Years of Relevant Experience

• Sponsorship & Relocation: Not Available

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 Years of Facility Maintenance Experience

• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

• Having a Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting Aptitude

• Experience following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

• The ability to work independently while setting priorities and following instructions with minimal mentorship
