Job Overview:

Facility Engineer

**Near Florence, Kentucky **

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering support for manufacturing equipment, facility utilities, and plant infrastructure.
  • Improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, production capacity, and safety.
  • Develop long-term equipment lifecycle and replacement strategies.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support for mechanical, electrical, controls, and utility systems.
  • Support maintenance teams with complex technical issues.
  • Lead and support capital improvement projects from concept through installation and commissioning.
  • Design and improve manufacturing systems to increase equipment performance.
  • Oversee medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC standards and electrical safety requirements.
  • Maintain electrical documentation, arc flash labeling, and system records.
  • Coordinate with utility providers regarding plant power systems.
  • Support DCS and PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) while reducing operating costs and energy consumption.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, PMs, PFDs, P&IDs, and spare parts strategies.
  • Support regulatory, insurance, and compliance audits.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Facilities teams.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Electrical Engineering preferred; Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering disciplines considered.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, and utility systems.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment reliability.
  • Capital project management experience.
  • Familiarity with PLC and DCS control systems.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Experience supporting medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • Experience with industrial utilities including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, HVAC, wastewater treatment, and power distribution.
  • Experience improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
  • Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
