SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing repair of the facility’s structure, equipment, and grounds, including minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs work such as carpentry and painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. This position is required to participate in the company ERT program as well as a rotational emergency on call program. Perform other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Knowledge and experience with equipment preventative maintenance programs.
  • Utilize CMMS program for tracking work order and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Manage all aspects of the operation and maintenance of all facility related assets including building, grounds, HVAC systems, and general facility equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with, and maintaining comprehensive records of all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements including: OSHA, HAZMAT, water quality and Fire Safety.
  • Manage space utilization and reorganization projects from basic desk adjustments to the movement of multiple teams including space planning, vendor/contract negotiation and management, move logistics and working with various stakeholders.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and emergency repair of the following: motors, electrical systems, HVAC and utility equipment, power generation equipment, air compressors, manufacturing equipment, and material handling equipment working with outside vendors.
  • Implement the Company’s environmental, health and safety programs in all departments/units within their respective operations.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001) as applicable.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, professional and regulatory agency standards, and licensure requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment in the successful EH&S management of chemical processes and facilities.
  • Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficacy of all finished products and compliance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines and any other regulations that may apply.
  • Implements and maintains programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the Area; Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT)/Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other Federal and State regulations.
  • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.
  • Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • College diploma or equivalent and 5+ years management experience and a minimum of 5-7 years in a facilities maintenance (or equivalent) position preferrably in a machining manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations with excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Well organized and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be familiar with computer-based work order and preventative maintenance systems (CMMS preferred)
  • Ability to manage, plan, and supervise the work of design professionals, contractors, and administrative staff.
  • Knowledge of applicable building, fire, electrical and plumbing codes.
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
  • Should be familiar with the emergency response team process.
  • Proficient in office computing applications such as (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid AZ Driver’s license
