You will be the Facilities Project Lead for the Facilities Projects team. Our team is responsible for delivering strategic facility and equipment solutions that enable manufacturing excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Facilities Project Lead you will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing all phases of facility modification and capital projects, ensuring they align with organizational efficiency and budget constraints.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead cross‑functional capital and overhead projects supporting manufacturing and production.
- Design, coordinate, and oversee facility and equipment modifications while ensuring compliance with company and government regulations.
- Gather and analyze data to drive design decisions, feasibility studies, and schedule commitments.
- Partner with architecture and engineering firms to develop design criteria, layout drawings, and manage design reviews.
- Inspect construction and installation progress to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering or technical related field.
• 5 years of project development experience in facility/manufacturing construction/renovation type projects.
• Proficient in MS Office software programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
• Understanding of CAD (Auto-CAD) system and ability to develop detailed layouts
• Basic understanding of laboratory, factory/manufacturing/assembly, and office space requirements.
• Project Management experience; ability to handle multiple projects
Desired skills
• Master’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering or technical related field.
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including customers, staff, and management.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Demonstrated experience working in a team environment, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations, including OSHA, ADA, and state and municipal requirements.
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of equipment commissioning, Knowledge of manufacturing and production operations
• Diversity of project experience including small and large projects.
• Ability to read and execute engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in managing contract performance of designers and contractors/subcontractors.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong analytical and estimating skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
