OVERVIEW

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Facilities Operator Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team.

Pay: Depending on Experience
Hours: 11 pm-7am
Shift: 3rd Shift, rotating 8-Hour Shift (AWS requiring 50% weekend work)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Facilities Operator/Mechanic Worker will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Works with the Facilities Manager, Facilities Operator/Maintenance Lead, and other Facilities Operator Mechanic’s and other Facilities General Maintenance Colleagues. Takes instruction from Facilities Manager, Facilities Operator Maintenance Lead, and Facilities Operators Maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinate the execution of Building Maintenance program, Facilities maintenance program, and assists when requested in the Processing and Packaging maintenance programs
  • Uses IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operation teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, and CBM (condition-based monitoring), Visual controls & tools Mgmt., Loss elimination, Lubrication mgmt. & Calibration of equipment(s) etc.
  • Role model Values and principles through effective coaching, and building capability of Operating teams via specific training on routine maintenance, equipment breakdown and CIL techniques
  • Interface with key stakeholders internally & externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, align priorities to deliver the company objectives, and goals.
  • Has general knowledge of proper use of power and hand tools.
  • Has demonstrated mechanical aptitude and understands basic mechanical concepts.
  • Is capable of advanced mechanical repairs - including bearing & shaft removal & installation, machine assembly and disassembly.
  • Is capable of advanced repairs to plumbing, heating and cooling systems and facility related mechanical repairs

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 3 yrs. Experience in a Maintenance Role or equally demonstrated mechanical/electrical skills.
  • The capability to read written instruction that include the use of our CMMS (SAP & UpKeep)
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & experience in ERP systems. Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written), Analytical & Problem-solving skills, strong collaboration and relationship management skills.
  • The capability to lead as well as be coached by others using the next level work processes while utilizing the PDCA-Plan Do Check Adjust approach.
  • Must be available to work any shift and must be able to work weekends.
  • Must have strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicates with all levels of the organization, from hourly production staff to corporate officers.
  • Must be a proven leader with a track record of developing skills of individuals and nurturing cooperation within teams.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple critical activities simultaneously.
  • Operates machine tools including; lathe, mill, welder, grinder, saws and press.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment following all OSHA, GMP, FDA guidelines.
  • Exposure to noise and dust and other raw materials. May be required to handle caustic chemicals with proper PPE. May have to work outside on occasion in hot summer and cold winter to support factory emergencies.
