Join Iowa State University as a Facilities Mechanic III supporting ISU Dining locations across campus. In this role, you’ll help keep kitchens, markets, cafés, and production spaces running smoothly by maintaining equipment and utility systems. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, respond to urgent repairs, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure safe, reliable operations.
This role offers broad work across multiple trades, including: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
You’ll install and do minor repairs on commercial kitchen equipment, maintain utility systems, complete daily work orders, and support facility improvements. You’ll also follow safety procedures, and use tools like TMA and Metasys to document work. Join ISU Dining - where your trade skills directly support the heart of campus life!

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of commercial equipment and appliances.
- Experience with general plumbing repairs and working with piping, valves, and fixtures.
- Prior work on mechanical systems such as steam, chilled water, or HVAC equipment, including installation, maintenance, or repair
- Experience troubleshooting and performing basic electrical maintenance and repairs.
