We have an opportunity to make an impact as a facilities technician in Melbourne, FL. You will provide facilities and maintenance labor as well as technical support to all areas of the site structure, equipment, and grounds. This support may be general in nature or specific to a number of trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) among others. You will often work with manufacturing process engineering utilizing blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches. All of your work is self-inspected and will comply with building codes and safety procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
General maintenance - perform maintenance service or repairs in areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, furniture moving, clean-up.
Machine and Equipment Maintenance - perform installation, troubleshooting and repairs for all facilities and production related equipment. Assist in planning, scheduling and performing scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance for facilities support and production equipment maintenance.
HVAC - Assist with Installs, troubleshooting and repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Ensures preventative maintenance is performed per established schedules.
Electrical - Repairs, install, replaces and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances. Uses hand tools and testing instruments. Inspects, tests and repairs electrical equipment, lighting, switches, motors, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
4+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance, HVAC, or electrical.
Must have a valid driver's license.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Ability to read and interpret electrical and building diagrams.
AutoCAD preferred.
Electrical repair and installation experience preferred.
Electrical Journeyman or strong low voltage control troubleshooting & high voltage working experience preferred.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
