Facilities Maintenance Technician

Onsite – Gurnee, IL/Somers, WI

The Role:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.); Perform general cleaning at any area on the Facility grounds regularly and as needed.

What You Will Do:

• Maintains housekeeping in common areas in and around the plant (e.g. empties common trashcans, mops common aisles, makes sure parking lot and area around the building is free of garbage)
• Manages disposal of corrugated scrap in coordination with recycling pick up days.
• Keep production common areas clean of dust and powder build up
• Removes any damaged pallets from the production floor and keeps pallet storage area neat and organized.
• Maintain Maintenance shop supplies, including but not limited to, straightening shelves, drawers, and cleaning parts.
• Responsible for facility’s PPE safety supplies.        This includes putting away incoming supplies, cycle counting items in the bulk rack, and keeping the plant storage cabinet stocked at all times.
• Provide basic building maintenance, sheet rock repair, light bulb replacement, painting, etc.
• Provide general labor assistance as needed to the Maintenance Mechanics
• All associated duties in the safe and efficient operation of the production department
