Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the building, building equipment and certain production machinery to ensure a safe working environment.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Perform general facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry repairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including the production areas, office, and cafeteria 
• Assist with the performance of tasks associated with conducting preventative maintenance on equipment
• Operate and maintain the coolant-recycling system
• Manage inventory of janitorial and maintenance supplies
• Coordinate and manage outside contractors related to maintenance, including recycling and trash removal
• Crosstrain in the function of raw material staging and assigning to jobs to be able to act as backup to the inventory control associate
• Complete various projects as assigned

 Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of building maintenance experience is required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Forklift certification a plus

 Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong initiative, integrity, and the desire and ability to work both individually and in a team environment

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This position requires work in both an office and manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, twist, bend, access tight spaces and climb ladders 
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to wear PPE
