Facilities Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs across facility and manufacturing equipment. This role ensures safe, efficient operations while supporting compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install & Repair: Perform facility and equipment installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Work on boilers, chillers, dust collectors, air-handling units, compressed-air systems, fire alarm systems, and other facility equipment.
- Multi-trade Work: Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and light construction tasks.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair facility/manufacturing equipment; respond to emergency repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance per company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring: Monitor facility and manufacturing equipment to identify operational issues.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with outside vendors/contractors when specialized services are required.
- Documentation: Maintain work orders, PM checklists, blueprints, permits, and other documentation.
- Regulatory Support: Participate in inspections with FDA, EPA, fire department, and utility authorities.
- Emergency Support: Provide after-hours/weekend emergency support when needed.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma/GED; mechanical or electrical education preferred.
- Experience: Up to 5 years of facilities/maintenance experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/mechanical, and general building maintenance.
- Industry Background: Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments is valuable.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently.
- Communication: Good documentation and communication skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with vendors and internal departments.
