Job Overview:

Keep the building tight. Keep the operation moving. If machines are the heartbeat of a plant, the building is the skeleton that holds everything upright. When it creaks, leaks, flickers, or freezes… production feels it.We’re looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician who takes ownership of the entire environment—not just fixing what breaks, but keeping the whole place running like it should have been built that way in the first place. What You’ll DoYou’ll own the physical plant and everything that makes it functional, safe, and efficient:Maintain and repair HVAC systems (comfort is not optional in a working plant)Troubleshoot and maintain lighting and electrical systemsHandle plumbing repairs and building systems upkeepPerform general fabrication and repairs (welding, cutting, modifying as needed)Manage snow removal and seasonal facility needsKeep an eye on roof, structure, and exterior conditionsCoordinate with and occasionally assist industrial maintenance techs when neededIdentify problems early and fix them before they become downtimeWhat This Role Is (and Isn’t)Is: The person who notices the small issues before they become big onesIs: The go-to for “something’s not right with the building”Is: Hands-on, practical, and self-directedIsn’t: A sit-and-wait-for-work-orders roleIsn’t: Purely machine maintenanceIsn’t: For someone who needs constant directionWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in facilities maintenance, building systems, or general tradesWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systemsAbility to fabricate or modify solutions when off-the-shelf won’t cut itStrong troubleshooting instincts—you don’t guess, you figure it outComfortable working independently and prioritizing your own workloadWillingness to jump in and support the broader maintenance team when neededThe EnvironmentThis is a foundry and machine shop—not a quiet office building. Heat, movement, heavy equipment, real work. The kind of place where solid facilities maintenance makes a visible difference every single day.Why This Role MattersWhen this job is done right:Production doesn’t stop for preventable issuesThe building supports the work instead of fighting itPeople notice… because nothing goes wrongThe Line That MattersStatusQuoSucks® — and in facilities, that means you don’t wait for things to break… you make sure they don’t.If you’re the kind of person who walks into a building and immediately starts noticing what needs fixed, adjusted, or improved… this will feel like home.
