Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will perform as our Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Position Summary:
As a Facilities Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for leading our Maintenance Department in a high-precision CNC Manufacturing environment. This position includes responsibility for Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance and initiatives, as well as oversight of the building security, 5S program implementation, and servicing of the building's grounds, network infrastructure, and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- Preferred: Bachelor's in Engineering or related field.
- Preferred: OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, Lean Manufacturing or TPM Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership.
- Ability to motivate and manage reporting personnel, as well as work in a productive, cooperative manner with other company employees.
- Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to simultaneously schedule and coordinate multiple tasks according to priority.
- Ability to counsel on safe work practices and carry out safety procedures.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
CNC Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, routers).
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Maintain and improve uptime and reliability of all production equipment.
- Manage CMMS system for tracking work orders, maintenance logs, and asset history.
- Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
Facilities Oversight
- Manage servicing and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
- Oversee building security systems and protocols.
- Implement and sustain 5S workplace organization methodology.
- Coordinate maintenance of network infrastructure and facility-wide equipment.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance repairmen and facility technicians.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Provide training on CNC maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Develop departmental KPIs and track data to drive decisions and action plans that align with business KPIs.
- Maintain adequate staffing and training/development to successfully support operations.
Budgeting & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage the facilities and maintenance department budget.
- Source and manage external vendors for specialized repairs and services.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and consumables.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Responsibilities
- Administer EH&S programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Maintain documentation for environmental permits, inspections, and training records.
- Lead safety training programs and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
