Job Overview:

Facilities Compliance & Validation Engineer

**New Brighton, MN | On-site **

Why This Role, Why Now

If you like being the person who actually gets to the bottom of a problem, and you want your engineering degree to translate into real ownership from day one, this is a good fit. You will own facility level documentation, commissioning, and validation for a global, publicly traded healthcare and medical technology leader with the stability and resources of a Fortune 500 company. This is not a desk-only compliance role. You will be in the mechanical room, on the floor, and in the field investigating issues, then partnering directly with the Facility Manager to fix them.

This is a newly formalized function at a growing site, which means real influence over how the program gets built, not just a seat at an existing table, backed by the resources and career mobility of a large global employer.

The Opportunity

You will review documentation of procedures, write commissioning reports, and build facility validation protocols for the New Brighton site. You will investigate nonconformances tied to site systems such as HVAC controls and pest control, document findings, and work hand in hand with the site Facility Manager to design and implement improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review documentation of procedures and confirm proper execution of protocols and SOPs for the site
  • Conduct facility inspections and investigate existing practices tied to building protocols, including HVAC and pest control
  • Document nonconformances and partner with the site manager to keep processes accurate and current
  • Investigate non-compliance items and record findings with clear root cause analysis
  • Maintain controlled process documentation: work instructions, process flow diagrams, gap analysis, control plans, and risk management documentation
  • Apply new methods and approaches where needed, considering impact on other systems
  • Participate in peer review of task approach and of verification and validation activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (any engineering discipline considered)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Exposure to engineering in a manufacturing facilities environment
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Root cause analysis and investigation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some hands-on background with building or facility equipment (HVAC, mechanical, or similar systems)

Familiarity with controlled documentation practices in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment

You should be proficient in:

  • HVAC Troubleshooting
  • Root Cause Analysis
