Amatrol is seeking **Fabricators (Levels 2–4) *with experience* **reading blueprints, and completing layout, fit-up, and custom fabrication before welding. Successful candidates will bring a passion about quality craftsmanship, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Fabricate jigs, fixtures, tooling, and custom assemblies as needed.
  • Perform layout, fit-up, welding, brazing, and fabrication on tubing, structural steel, plate, and other metals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
  • Measure, mark, cut, bevel, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.
  • Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment, including TIG and MIG processes.
  • Complete fit-up and tack welds while accounting for shrinkage, distortion, and tolerances.
  • Perform grinding, finishing, inspection, repairs, and modifications on completed weldments.
  • Support product improvements, prototype builds, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fabrication and welding equipment.

What You Need

Level 2

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
  • 2–4 years of welding, fitting, or fabrication experience.
  • Formal welding education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Level 3

  • Proficient in layout, fit-up, and fabrication techniques.
  • Strong blueprint-reading and welding skills.
  • 4–8 years of welding, fitting, and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to process improvements.

Level 4

  • Proven experience with complex assemblies, precision fabrication, and custom builds.
  • Advanced blueprint interpretation, layout, tolerancing, and weld symbol knowledge.
  • 8+ years of advanced welding and fabrication experience.
  • Expert-level TIG and MIG welding skills.
  • Ability to lead complex fit-up activities and solve fabrication challenges with minimal supervision.

All Levels

  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude and commitment to quality.
  • ASME Section IX certification is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
