Job Summary

Must be able to build fab API rotor cores and fab/die cast cryo rotor cores in an efficient manner. This position requires extreme attention to details and a thorough knowledge of the work procedures and component applications. Employee will be responsible for producing a quality rotor core for the next internal customer.

Job Description

  • PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stack lam, cut bar, insert bar, install end rings, install clamping rings, weld end rings (robot welding and or tig welding)
  • Remove clamping rings
  • Perform lathe work on end rings
  • Operate band saw
  • Document proper paperwork
  • Read a scale
  • Comply with company quality and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • COMPETENCIES:

    Minimum

  • Basic Math Skills
  • Read and follow instructions
  • Preferred

  • Ability to work independently
  • Dependability

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Read blueprints
  • Weld MIG and TIG
  • Ability to operate robotic welder
  • Operate a forklift
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Required to pass hands on welding test
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Employment in manufacturing
  • Previous welding experience
  • Ability to work in a Team oriented setting
  • Good Communication skills – Verbal & Written
