WHAT YOU’LL DO
This position is responsible for the daily set up and operation of one or more manufacturing machines. Drill presses, punch presses, saws, bending rolls, grinders, spot welders and DNC equipment will be used to shape and alter sheet metal according to specifications. Potential operators must be able to interpret blueprints, rough sketches and engineering drawings to ensure the accuracy of secondary part dimensions. Operator will also assist other operators with any of their daily duties, including but not limited to, area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging. Ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a team environment. This is a grade 2 position; prior experience with industry-standard fabrication equipment is a must. Preferably, 1-2 years of fabrication experience, in a manufacturing environment. This position is considered a safety sensitive position due to "the operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle (forklift), equipment, machinery or power tools or the repairing, maintaining or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage”.
