Job Title: CNC Router Operator 3rd Shift
CNC Router Operator Reports To: Metals Team Coordinator
Position Summary:
The CNC Router Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive operation of the CNC Router to fabricate items for the metals department. Key responsibilities include job setup, operation, troubleshooting, tool changes, and quality control. The operator must ensure tasks are completed on time according to blueprints and work orders. Additional duties include assisting with other tasks while the CNC Router is in operation, training employees, and helping team members while adhering to production schedules and maintaining product quality.
This position involves regular interaction with internal and external customers and plays an active role in the Life Line Emergency Vehicle team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC Router and other equipment such as shears, notchers, saws, drills, and presses
- Perform job setup, troubleshooting, tool changes, and quality control
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to complete jobs accurately
- Assist in machining processes and run CNC programs, as required
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Assist other departmental employees and help train new team members
- Apply quality assurance techniques and meet or exceed cost reduction goals
- Lift and move aluminum and plywood sheets as needed
- Collaborate with the engineering team and parts department to meet production needs
- Maintain accurate records and follow production schedules
- Ensure all tasks are completed by deadlines while adhering to safety protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts. Training shifts are on 1st shift 6am-

Experience:
- Previous experience with CNC machining, mechanical tools, and computer programs is preferred
- Knowledge of Life Line products is a plus
Education:
- High school diploma or technical training in a related field, or equivalent experience
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Use of senses such as sight, touch, hearing, and smell is required

Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor elements
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, cold, heat, and airborne particles
