The Fabricator is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and engineering drawings to correspond with the required metal cuts. The Fabricator will be required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Top Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to assess materials needed and plan the sequence of tasks to fabricate products.

• Operate light machinery, including grinders, sanders, cordless drills, and a variation of saws.

• Install fabricated components in the final product.

• Monitor quality of fabrication.

• Adhere to all safety standards and SOP’s.

• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

Qualities of the ideal candidate:

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

• Manual dexterity

• Basic mechanical skills

• Basic math skills

• Basic knowledge of fabrication

• Advanced knowledge of fabrication

• Basic welding knowledge and skills

• Basic knowledge of rigging and overhead cranes

* 4-7 years’ experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field

• Welding aluminum, steel mig/tig an asset

Working Conditions:

• This role works primarily in a Warehouse and Manufacturing facility (not temperature controlled) with exposure to dust, noise and metal shavings.

• This role has no supervisory or management responsibilities.
