Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced ** Fabrication Welder** for a premier manufacturing firm in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In this role, you will work individually or alongside a small, talented team to produce high-quality sheet metal parts, metal buildings, and enclosures that meet strict customer specifications. Responsibilities
- **Welding Operations: ** Perform high-quality MIG welding on both mild and stainless steel; utilize spray transfer MIG welding, tack welding, and stud welding techniques.
- **Blueprint Reading & Layout: ** Interpret shop prints and complex engineered drawings to determine precise weld placements, sizes, lengths, positioning, and alignments.
- **Fabrication & Assembly: ** Set up, align, cope, fit, and square parts for final fabrication assembly; perform torch cutting and basic fittings.
- **Quality Assurance: ** Inspect finished parts against dimensional specifications, examine weld beads for quality, and repair improper welds as needed.
- **Finishing Work: ** Maintain overall dimensions (square and plum) during the welding process; remove excess material using grinding and surface finishing processes.
- **Safety & Maintenance: ** Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area daily; safely operate overhead cranes and forklift equipment; notify the Lead Person or Inspector when products are ready for inspection.
Requirements
- **Experience: ** 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- **Equipment Proficiency: ** 2+ years of experience operating manufacturing machinery (shear, brake press, turret punch, CNC laser, ironworker, band saw, cutting torch, plasma cutter, grinder) and material handling equipment (overhead cranes, ratchet straps).
- **Tools & Measurement: ** 2+ years of experience using fabrication tools (squares, clamps, fillet gauges, angle grinders) and the ability to accurately read a tape measure and blueprint drawings.
- **Mathematical Skills: ** Ability to convert decimals to fractions and confidently utilize conversion charts.
- **Quality Standards: ** 2+ years of familiarity with Quality Assurance Procedures (QAPs).
- **Certifications: ** 1G and 3G Welding certifications are highly preferred. Forklift certification is preferred (2+ years of forklift operating experience is required).
- **Education: ** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
