Job Summary

The Fabrication Supervisor leads daily operations in the Fabrication Department, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient production.

This is a hands-on leadership role where the supervisor is expected to operate equipment, support the team directly, and maintain ownership of output, quality, and standards.

Leadership & Coordination

· Lead a team of 4 across three shifts; ensure smooth transitions and consistent expectations

· Run daily morning briefs to align priorities and reinforce standards

· Coach operators through hands-on support and real-time feedback

· Drive accountability through clear expectations, follow-up, and consistency

· Communicate effectively across departments while respecting defined roles and responsibilities

· Use KPI dashboards and production data to monitor performance and drive improvements

Fabrication & Equipment

· Serve as or develop into the primary CNC operator, including setup, offsets, and troubleshooting

· Optimize layouts, nesting, and machine utilization

· Support roll-cut operations and train team members on equipment use

· Manage fabrication queue to meet production and shipping deadlines

· Coordinate with maintenance for machine issues and preventative care

Safety & Quality

· Enforce PPE, safe work practices, and organized work areas (5s)

· Train team members on equipment, procedures, and product handling

· Maintain traceability, labeling accuracy, and process discipline

· Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions

· Ensure consistent data entry and adherence to standards

Material Handling & Logistics

· Support material flow, staging, and coordination with shipping and logistics

· Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, traceability, and Kanban systems

· Operate forklifts as needed

Technical & Systems Expectations

· Experience operating or working closely with manufacturing equipment (CNC experience preferred but not required)

· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn CNC operation and troubleshooting

· Familiarity with process optimization, tooling, and machine performance improvement

· Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred), production tracking tools, and Microsoft Office

· Comfortable working within structured digital workflows (Asana, Teams, etc.)

Qualifications

· 4+ years leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment

· Proven ability to drive accountability, structure, and team performance

· Experience in high-precision or high-accountability manufacturing environments preferred

· Demonstrated ability to solve problems through process

· Ability to perform physical job functions including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, operating equipment, and actively supporting floor operations as a hands-on leader

Compensation & Expectations

This is a salary-based leadership role designed for individuals who take full ownership of department performance.

Compensation includes:

· Base Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

· Performance Bonus: Paid monthly and tied to key department performance metrics, including production stability, quality, team performance, and system execution

This structure is designed to reward consistent, system-driven performance, team stability, and overall department ownership.
