The **Fabrication Production Manager **will provide leadership for all production Team Members within the fabriction department or Value Stream.
Responsible for creation and achievement of production schedules and posting of daily work assignments. Serve as the driver behind product/process safety, quality, delivery, and morale.
What You’ll Do:
Provide leadership for all production Team Members within the fabrication department or Value Stream, across all shifts.
Responsible for day-to-day supervision of Team Members. Maintain all time, attendance, and disciplinary action records for each direct report in a timely manner.
Responsible for day-to- day compliance and adherence to Avalign and FDA QSR requirements.
Perform spot quality checks, 5S audits, Layered Process Audits.
Help drive/ lead continuous improvement projects.
Ensure team members are up to date and trained to perform assigned functions, including, but not limited to the areas of GMP, EHS and Quality Systems.
Ensure management is informed of all significant developments regarding the operation.
Ensure key constraints are managed and properly staffed.
Ensure product flows at established lead-times through manufacturing cell.
Responsible for recruitment, development, promotion, and disciplinary actions of hourly Team Members.
Responsible for overall performance management for hourly Team Members, including preparing and delivering annual performance reviews.
Set direction and drive accountability for off shift supervision on production, staffing, and quality needs.
Manufacturing point person for product and process knowledge for department or Value Stream.
Point person for department or Value Stream for facilities, Maintenance, HR, Quality and Engineering.
Lead daily production review walk. Drive corrections to solve issues and escalate when needed.
Set production plans for departments across all shifts. Set overtime needs.
Set staffing needs for department.
Set cross training plans across all shifts.
Provides manufacturing feedback throughout the Engineering change process.
This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the non-exempt operators and team leads.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Complete interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
