Summary: As a member of the Martins Family, the Fabricator Intern will demonstrate a strong interest in learning and developing fabricating skills such as welding, machining, assembling, use of various hand tools and measuring devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interpret measurements and verify specifications for assembling equipment
Ensure all parts are fitted and secured properly
Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished
Use fabrication and machining equipment and hand tools to form, drill, tap, thread, machine, weld, grind, and polish components and completed assemblies
Proficient in use of various measuring tools and techniques including but not limited to tape measures, squares, levels, calipers and micrometers
Maintains work area in a safe and orderly condition
Adheres to company safety policies and procedures
Safe operation of forklifts
Flexibility to work overtime and unusual schedules when required by production demands
Positive attitude in and through all situations

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED;
Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Engineering or Fabrication.
Mathematical Skills:
Demonstrates abilities in the following areas; applies mathematical concepts such as arithmetic, algebra, and geometry .
Computer Skills:
Basic use of computers
