Position Overview
PSG is hiring experienced manufacturing professionals to support fabrication, polishing, deburring, part preparation, material handling, and finishing operations at our Melrose Park facility.
We currently have openings for a Polishing and Deburring Operator and a General Labor – Fabrication team member. Applicants should indicate which position best matches their experience.
Opening 1: Polishing and Deburring Operator
Experience: 5+ years
Shift: First shift
Pay: $22.00–$26.00 per hour
A higher rate may be considered based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, finishing requirements, work instructions, and quality specifications.
- Polish, deburr, blend, and finish precision components.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and surface imperfections without affecting critical dimensions.
- Safely operate hand tools, grinders, polishers, abrasive media, and related finishing equipment.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify workmanship.
- Safely lift, position, and handle parts weighing approximately 10–15 pounds.
- Identify and report damaged or nonconforming components.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- At least five years of polishing, deburring, or precision-finishing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and finishing requirements.
- Experience using manual and powered polishing, grinding, and deburring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Turbine blade polishing experience is preferred.
Opening 2: General Labor – Fabrication
Experience: 3–5 years
Shift: First shift
Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
A higher rate may be considered based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Support fabrication activities by preparing, moving, cleaning, grinding, and finishing parts and materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Safely operate manual tools, hand-grinding tools, and other shop equipment.
- Use overhead cranes and forklifts when properly trained and authorized.
- Prepare and stage materials, tools, and components for fabrication work.
- Deburr, grind, clean, and inspect parts.
- Assist skilled trades and other team members with shop projects.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of manual-labor experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial shop.
- Experience using manual tools and hand-grinding equipment.
- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions.
- Grit-blasting experience is preferred.
- Strong dependability and commitment to safety and quality.
